and the weekend ends on a happy note

I didn't finish all 15 gels but I'll have done six (about to set up the 6th) and those were the ones the other researcher really really needed. Er, actually the total is 18 now because I had to re-do a plate. So I'll have 12 still to do. I'll get the ones she just really needs done tomorrow and Tuesday. I hope nobody else needs to use the gel rig. I think I'll just have to say to everyone "sorry but this is urgent" and hog it all day. I'll try to get in early. They know I was here all weekend, except Saturday morning. So they know it's just that I've got a ton of work to get done in a hurry, not that I've been slacking off and now I have to rush to catch up.

I was talking on the phone with my mum about how I was thinking of seeing a movie tonight but there's nothing good on. Except The Aviator; I've been wanting to see that but that's only on at 4:40pm and 8:15pm and it's almost 3 hours long so I'd end up getting to sleep later than I like to. The only almost reasonable alternatives were Hitch and Constantine. I was thinking of watching Constantine but I looked it up on IMDB and I don't think I can stomach Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weiss in the same movie. It looks like it would've been a good concept for a cool adventure movie with demons but I get the impression screwed it up trying to make it all moody and serious. And I only considered Hitch because I didn't know what it was about. I thought maybe some sports guy or something. So I'm not going to see a movie tonight.

The problem is that I don't have a TV in my apartment. All my furniture is in my house because it looks nicer for selling it. So I was saying I could watch The Simpsons and Arrested Development (I love that show and I haven't seen it in ages because even before I became TV-less, I got rid of cable service and just used my TV for watching videos because I watched TV so little, it was a waste of money and TV generally puts me in a crappy mood even if it's a show I like, because of the advertising). So Mum is going to come and visit me and bring me her spare TV. Woo! And we're going to have quesadillas for dinner.

ETA: I just realized that didn't make sense because I didn't finish a sentence because I did one of my things in parentheses that's actually longer than the sentence. So what I meant was that I'd watch The Simpsons etc. in the lounge at my apartment complex, because they have a TV for residents to use.
