I got my brother a video game for Christmas. I won't say which one, in case he's reading my journal!
I also got myself Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition, used, for $20. I haven't played it yet. Maybe this weekend. It says I can be a werewolf. Woo! I'll have to name my character Lupin, then. There were about 10 copies of Fable in the Pre-Played section. Man. I can see why. It's a good game and all but once you've tried being both good and evil, done the four or so side quests, seen the four possible endings and bought up the entire town of Oakvale, the replay value isn't high. Why can't you do anything with the fact that Lady Grey murdered her family? Huh?? I think they'd planned on having a big side quest relating to that but they ran out of time. That sucks. My Choose Your Own Adventure game won't be like that. I'll just make everyone wait for years and years. I've thought of a few simple Flash games I could make in the meantime. Provided that I learn how to use LiveMotion better. I'll work on it this weekend. I really will this time. I'm going to insist on having both weekend days to myself - no going to work, no seeing my family, no spending half the day running errands.
I've gotten a few e-mails asking about when I'll do more Harry Potter stuff. I do plan on finishing Naked Snape II but I'm leaning towards turning the focus to the pirate monkey stuff. If I get good with Flash, I can do more games with it. Dude, I could even make a stand-alone game, like you can install it and save games and everything. I'll be like a one-woman Lucasarts. I'd have to finish inventing that Time-Turner, though. That or quit my job.
I see nobody responded to my pathetic plea for help with Flash animation. I realize it sounded like "can someone teach me how to use Photoshop?" like it's that easy. I know. But if anyone has sound editing software that they like and they could tell me what it is, that'd be awesome.
