Check this out:
Snape in PoA
But isn't he supposed to be, uhh, sort of unconscious at this point in the story? I mean, what the point of changing that? And when is this supposed to take place, exactly? Before the dementors (which, judging by the other pic on MuggleNet, are going to be seriously kickass) attack, and future!Harry does the patronus? Because Snape has to find Harry and Hermione passed out and take em back to the castle, so it can't be after.
... haaaang on. I had another look at the picture and it appears to be DAYTIME! The sky is blue. And the light on Snape n the kids is really bright. It's possible that the caption is wrong, and he's protecting them from something else. But what? There was nothing like that in the book. I don't get it; apart from the unavoidable omissions, the first two movies were really close to the books. Why would they start changing things?
If Snape were awake then he'd have seen Pettigrew. So did he wake up right after Pettigrew transformed back? And he's supposed to have blood on his head, though it could be on the side and I just can't see it in the photo. They can't have Snape knowing about Pettigrew because then he can't have his tantrum in the hospital wing. And I really want to see that. And he has to be the one to bring the three unconscious kids plus Sirius back to Hogwarts because otherwise Fudge wouldn't be promising Snape the Order of Merlin. And without that, what's Snape's excuse for telling everyone about Lupin the next day? Unless more people see Lupin in the movie. Since, it appears, he's running around in wolf-form in BROAD FREAKING DAYLIGHT!
This isn't an ordinary novel; the director can't go around changing things like that. They've already created a continuity error with having Harry see Quirrel die. I suppose they'll just change the part about the thestrals when the time comes. Heck, why not leave them out alltogether? It's not like the public's going to care. We're all just a bunch of mindless consumer zombies, aren't we? grumble grumble...
I'm also disappointed that the photo of Boggart!Snape that's been floating around is real. I expected the hat to be much bigger.
And I don't like Draco's new haircut. What happed - did Lucius cut off his hair gel money? He's supposed to be a pretty little bastard. Now he just looks preppie.

But some good news: they're making a movie of A Series of Unfortunate Events! I haven't even finished reading The Slippery Slope yet. I wonder who's going to be Olaf.
...looking it up...
...what? J...Jim Carrey? No. No, that can't be him. He has to be some other character. That... no. I'm not even going to think about it. Wait! Lemmony Snicket is a character in the movie! Ok. That'll be Jim. That's better. So maybe Count Olaf is Jude Law. He's too young but he could pull it off.
...checked IMDb. Jim Carrey is Count Olaf. Dammit.

*goes off to sulk*
*and maybe play The Sims*
