Why is it that when I do a Google search for "Hagrid/Snape," I get a bunch of mpreg sites? I hate mpreg! More people need to post on
hagrid_snape. (...don't look at me, I'm not a writer.) The one story on there so far is excellent. Not that I'm going to abandon Snape/Lupin (or Lupin/Snape; I'm not picky about that) as my OTP but I'm really liking Hagrid/Snape.
Also, I found out today from a refreshingly honest employee that all of Panda Express' food except the steamed rice contains chicken broth. He'd already put the eggplant/tofu and mixed veggies in the box when I asked for vegetarian spring rolls and he told me, so I still bought the food. He was nice, he said it was OK if I didn't want it but I said I'd still buy it. The thing is: I really, really like it. Now I'll have to stop eating it. Goddamn it. I'm certain vegetable broth wouldn't make a noticable difference. Why do they have to use chicken broth?! And not put up a sign or something to warn people? Yes, I know it's hard to accommodate everyone's unique dietary needs but companies seem to to a lot more to accommodate people on, say, Atkins than vegetarians. At risk of sounding militant, it should be more important to meet people's dietary needs that are based on morals or religious beliefs than needs that are based on being on some kind of weight loss plan. I guess people with food allergies have the same problem. That ought to take precedence over vegetarians. At least meat won't kill me. But we should all take precedence over people who don't want to eat any "carbs."
I don't know how many times I've asked for the "vegetarian spring rolls" and they just silently gave me the food without telling me it's not actually vegetarian. It does say on their website that the mixed veggies are made with chicken broth, if you search for the info, but who expects mixed veggies not to be vegetarian?
