mmm, sandwich

My mood is so much better when I manage to exercise. It makes a huge difference. It makes me want to write a book about curing depression with exercise. The only problem is that exercise, like real, strenuous exercise, isn't all that popular. People will walk on a stairmaster like zombies for hours but that's not going to cut it. I see so many people in the classes I go to slacking off. Like in yoga. I understand people having different ability levels and having to be careful if they have injuries (I have to modify some poses if my knees are bothering me) but if you're not tired by the end of class then you haven't had a good workout. And that's what it takes for exercise to improve the mood. You have to be sweaty and tired and be sore the next morning.
But about the sandwich: I got up earlier today so I could make lunch to take with me. Now, instead of a $4.00, 200 calorie (which is insufficient), forzen, microwavable meal, I have a lovely sandwich with swiss cheese, tofurkey, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, pickles, mustard and mayo on wheat bread. And lemonade, pistachio nuts and V8 juice. And there are cookies left over from this big management meeting they had yesterday. And the weather is lovely today.
