I'm at work again, waiting for stuff to thaw out again. See, I have to let the tubes thaw completely or else it'll screw up the concentration. So. I went to TKD last night. That was cool. They liked my new haircut. That's the first time they've seen it; that's how long it's been since I've been to class. And I went to the gym this morning. I'm going to start doing that - going in the morning. Because there's no way I'll go in the evening.

I've been reading this book, Mount Dragon, by the guys who wrote The Relic. My friend Nicole lent it to me and I've had it for possibly even longer that she had my copy of OotP. And that was a pretty long time. So I thought I'd better get cracking. It's ok. I have mixed feelings about it - I like the plot but I don't like the characters. So far, anyway, there guys can't write women for crap. And I don't like this one character who's all against genetic engineering. Bah. You know we were supposed to get a Level 3 facility here at Davis? But it fell through. It's really disappointing. I seriously would've been applying for a job if it'd been built here. I think that's why I like stories like this - a scientist gets hired for this top-secret project and they're whisked away to this awesome facility in the desert or something. I like them because I think that'd be pretty freakin cool in real life. Except the part where one of the scientists goes psycho and the monkeys escape and all hell breaks loose and the military wants to nuke the place. I'd skip that part. Unless I get to be the one who goes psycho. That might be fun. Of course, that'd make me more likely to be the one who's still there, standing on the roof laughing maniacally, surrounded by monkeys, when the whole place blows up. Poor monkeys. But see, in real life, I'd have an escape pod and the monkeys and I would go off and live on a cool island or something.
It's been kind of boring at work today. Can you tell? I like it better when we go and watch movies.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I actually work more hours than I’m paid for. So I figure it’s ok to goof off a little, when I just have 10 minutes of down-time and there isn’t much I could do that would be productive anyway.

Alright, back to work.
