First of all, I admit that I am lucky as crap and I probably inadvertently sold my soul to a demon at some point. Pft. Like I'm going to use it. Moving on to the good news. Not only did I get my Lucius shirt but also...
almost a month ago, I got an e-mail from someone at a German magazine, asking if they could print some of my fanart. I, of course, agreed. And then with all that's been going on since then, I forgot about it. Until today, when I got my mail and there was a mysterious envelope from Germany. The extra cool part is that my mum was here helping me move more stuff into my new place (final move is next weekend - I've actually reserved the U-Haul truck). So she was like "what is that?" And when I opened the envelope, I said "ohh, I know what this is" but I didn't say what it was and I just opened it and fortunately, there was a picture of Harry Potter on the table of contents page, so it was pretty easy to find the article. They printed the first two pages of the Sparklypoo comic plus How the Snape Stole Christmas. Wahooo!
Unfortunately, I don't speak German. So would anyone be so kind as to translate it for me? It's in the June issue of epd Film, available on the web here. My art is only in the printed magazine, but they've linked to my site in the electronic version.
Paling in comparison to that, I fixed up my yard all pretty. I was amazed at how cheap the plants, stones and bags of bark are. I don't get why people would pay a ton of money to get their gardens done, when they could spend under $40 and play in the dirt and make it nice themselves.
