(no subject)

This is weird: I'm sitting in front of a computer with a giant-ass monitor and OS X. I'm on campus, ready to purify my lovely plasmids. The tubes are in the centrifuge. It's making noises again. The only thing that worries me about it is that I had to change the rotor. But it looked like I put it in right. I mean, it wasn't complicated. And that's the sort of thing you'd think they'd make idiot-proof, right?

I do kind of like this Mac keyboard. I think this monitor is bigger than my TV.

Uhh...

Oh! My bio is going to go up on our work website. That's cool. T.'s bio is going to be on there too. Which means I had to write myself a bio. I haven't done a lot yet. T. and I are the only ones with just Bachelor's degrees. We both graduated at the same time, I think, about a year and a half ago. So we haven't had a lot of time to do much work-relevant stuff. I just put what my degree was in, that I was a National Merit Scholar and in the Golden Key Honour (not a typo - that's how they spell it) Society, and a bit about what I did at my last job.

Urgh - just tried to hit ctrl+c. Am reminded why I don't like Macs. Why can't they just put the open apple key where the control key is on a normal PC keyboard?

We're also supposed to put photos on the bios page. I don't really see the point of that. I guess maybe to demonstrate that there's some diversity in the company. Not a lot, though, since we only have 6 employees. I should use my pirate icon. It looks like me. Except for the eye patch.

OK, the scary centrifuge is done.
