Aug. 16th, 2004 09:04 pmI won't be around much online for maybe a week because we don't have internet access at the new work place and I still have crappy dial-up at home because I haven't yet found a suitable alternative. My phone company doesn't offer DSL and my TV cable signal is weak, so that's out. Curses.
I'm taking the train and then biking the rest of the way to work. What with getting a bit lost, I probably rode at least 8 miles today (without getting lost, it would be more like 6, I think). I'm trying to download a map of the Bay Trail. Dang, they don't make it easy to find, do they? Not in Berkeley and Richmond, at any rate. OK, I've got a map that has both the trail and street names.
It'll still suck if it's raining or dark. It looks like I should be able to enter the trail pretty close to the station. No more crappy frontage roads. Except I'll still have to go through the parking lot of Golden Gate Fields. Still safer than the frontage road if it's dark, I think. I'm thinking I might drive in winter. But I hate driving. It's nice being able to sit and read on the train for an hour.
