(no subject)

At work. Thawing stuff out right now. I don't know how long I'll stick around. I have to do... some number of runs on the RT-PCR machine but that project isn't due till Oct 31 so I have some time. And I have to do a few regular PCRs so I can get the stuff sequenced on Monday. And another PCR with this forensic identification kit because my boss asked me to. We're not set up to do forensics yet; we have the training for it on Monday so we need a few samples to use as examples. I'll just use myself. And dig up random samples from the freezer, I guess. I hope I don't miss too much of the training, because I have to leave at 3:30 at the latest to get the sequencing order up to Davis before the sequencing place closes. And 3:30 is really pushing it, I feel better if I can leave at 3:00.

I'm going to have dinner and see a movie with my friend tonight. Maybe I can persuade her to see Team America. Though... I'm a little worried that I won't like it so much, after reading mahwlee's warning that liberals who take themselves too seriously wouldn't like it. There are a few episodes of South Park that I didn't like for that reason, like Cherokee Hair Tampons. But I have to see the puppet sex.
