Anyway, that's not what this post is about.
I was thinking about that plot synopsis for Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver's upcoming movie Snow Cake (I totally typed "Snape" just then instead of "Snow") and how it says Alan's character is traumatized after being in a fatal car accident. I figure it's probably fatal to his wife and children or something. I think we can rule out the possibility of it being fatal to him. This ain't M. Night Shyamalan.
But the "wife and children get killed" thing would be almost as cliché. You know what would be cool? If he crashes into a bussload of orphans. And he's not hurt at all and he gets out of the car that's all smashed in at the front and smoking and stuck to the bus and he sees all these dead orphans. That'd be some quality filmmaking right there.
