We lost the blockade. Some people claimed the opposing team had spies but that would be impractical and in this case hardly necessary: our team was badly disorganized. I lost count of how many ships sank out from under me but I kept getting back on new ships (not that it was my fault the ships sank, of course). There was a ton of people milling about on the beach, not bothering to get on another ship. And then about half the players seemed to give up after we lost the first round.

It didn't help that we were badly outnumbered right from the beginning.

Oh well. I'm saving up to buy a ship now. I'll probably get a sloop. I was thinking of saving up for a cutter but once I get a ship, I'll be able to make money a lot faster.

I'm still a Pirate, though, I don't have the Officer promotion yet. I'm waiting for a recommendation. That's annoying.
