I bought a DVD of Divorcing Jack (David Thewlis AND Jason Isaacs!) from Amazon.com - actually a third-party company that sells through Amazon.com - and I got it and tried to play it and it didn't work and THEN I see the tiny, tiny region 2 symbol on the box. Damnit. They didn't have a warning anywhere on the order page! And I know Amazon usually puts warnings for region 2 DVDs.
So now I'm trying to see about getting a multi region DVD player because this isn't the first time I've tried to get a movie that's only available in region 2 format (though it is the first time I've gone and bought a region 2 disk).
Best Buy doesn't sell multi-region players. Garh. I know they exist but I'm beginning to suspect they only exist for the UK. I guess the next step is to see about getting an adaptor and buying a UK one. I'll look around some more to see if anywhere else in the U.S. sells them. I'll try Fry's, they have awesome stuff.
And then maybe I'd better get some work done. Today it's just test runs on the robot using water. That's boring :( But it has to be done.
