I think a huge step in the right direction will be to get enough people to vote that the Democratic candidate wins in a landslide in 2008. It's easier to fix a close election; it's going to be much harder for the Republicans to steal another election if they have to throw out millions of votes instead of thousands.

OK, a Green would be preferable but we have to do what's practical. About half the voters voted for Kerry in the last presidential election. Getting more people to vote for the Democrat is going to be a lot easier than convincing all those people to switch from Democratic to Green and ALSO getting more people to vote who didn't last time, or getting Republican voters to switch to Democratic. I'm not even going to bother with arguing about it this time, I had enough of it in 2004.

I failed in 2004 in my attempt to get my brother to vote. I'm going to try again. I'll start by showing him this video.
