Big Sur
the seals at Hopkins Marine Station
the sea lions in the Monterey Harbor
the elephant seals at Año Nuevo or Piedras Blancas (if it's Winter or Spring)
Hearst Castle, conveniently located just down the road from Piedras Blancas (which is inconveniently located about 120 miles south of my house)
the tidepools at Asilomar State Beach
the loveley ocean views along Oceanview Blvd in Pacific Grove

And if they're staying longer and we're going to go further afield:

Lake Tahoe!

Disneyland!
