Now, before you caution me not to sink to their level, let me tell you what they did. It's Pride Week on campus and the Davis College Republicans decided to protest against it without looking like they were protesting against it by holding "Conservative Coming Out Day". Not for gay conservatives to come out, but for people to come out as being conservative. Because that's their whole thing on this campus: acting like they're oppressed. Since they have nothing better to do. They've got the White House. They got their war for oil. They run the freaking student newspaper, even. So, since they have nothing else to complain about, they complain about the fact that we liberals exist and disagree with them, and that means they're the persecuted minority now. You see how they deserve to be heckled? We weren't anywhere near as bad as they are at all our protests, anyway. We were mainly just laughing at them, and occasionally telling them to check their facts, like when they tried to say we're crazy for being anti-logging industry because there are plenty of trees around. The woman who was saying that started her speech by saying how she grew up in a small town where there were plenty of trees. I seriously wondered whether she was secretly a liberal who'd infiltrated the DCR and was just up there making them look stupid but apparently not. The first speaker was a woman telling us how feminism is wrong. And exhorting the men in the crowd to stand up to feminists. That got a big laugh. At one point, their sound system went out and they tried to blame it on us liberals but I'd be amazed if the whole thing wasn't staged by them.
