gmonkey42I just saw The Island of Dr. Moreau. It's been too long since I've read the book to remember much more than the fact that it was about this crazy dude turning animals into people. So I can't comment on to what extent they screwed it up. I remember enjoying the book.
The more I see of David Thewlis, the more I think he's going to be great as Lupin. I was just lookin on IMDb and it says he's 6'3". The heights are all backwards - Sirius should be the tallest, then Snape then Lupin. It never actually said in the books how tall Lupin was relative to everyone else but I always pictured him being maybe 5'10 or 11. But I also pictured Snape taller than Sirius, until OotP. And I hear Tom Felton's taller than Jason Isaacs now. Woah. I hope they don't re-cast just because of that. I like him.
The guy came to fix my washing machine, sink and dishwasher. The washing machine has to be replaced, which will be on Monday. They're sending someone to fix the sink tomorrow. And he couldn't find anything wrong with the dishwasher. Sigh. I had to skip an entire day of work to wait for him. Well, I suppose I could go in now... but I was there till after midnight last night. And I did the same hours last week as usual, even though Tuesday was a paid holiday. So I'm taking a freaking day off. I want some ice cream.
