what I did this weekend

I still have to use dial-up at home. I need to get something set up. When the cable guy set up my cable, he said there was a weak signal here so it might not be a good idea to get internet service via the cable. That's refreshingly honest. So I need to look into my options. I'm leaning towards DSL.
I had to go at lunch to sort out this crap with my homeowners' insurance, because my original lender sold my policy to another lender but the name of the lender didn't get changed on my insurance policy. So my old lender was getting bills and ignoring them. Grr. So I took care of that.
Saturday, I spent almost all day playing Grim Fandango, until I got so frustrated with trying to walk on that conveyer belt thing that I was at risk of kicking the monitor across the room, so then I played The Sims instead. I made a Rapunzil skin. Using meshes from Sim Freaks. As usual. They have the awesomest free stuff.
I was making castles before but it's been much cooler since Makin Magic came out. I tried to make a monastery but the monks weren't doing a very good job with things. I gave them all these flowers out front and it took them forever to water them so I ended up getting rid of the flowers. I put the flowers there because Mission San Carlos Borromeo, in Carmel, has all these flowers. I haven't been there in ages. We used to go on family vacations every year to Carmel. Right now, my parents and brother are in England. I could've gone too but I knew people would be on vacation at work so I thought I'd better stick around. Also, in the morning, I went to the gym. I specifically skipped cardio kickboxing because I'd planned on going to the beginners step class instead. And I got there and it was canceled. Dangit. And I hadn't brought my mp3 player. So I went on the step machine and didn't have a very good time. If the beginners step class is canceled and you forget your mp3 player, you're gonna have a bad time.
On Sunday, I went to the gym again. The class I went for wasn't canceled but the stereo was messed up so they had to start 15 minutes late. And they couldn't have it run 15 minutes longer because there was another class right after it. So I went on the treadmill for 18 minutes after class. Would've been 15 but I had to keep stopping and screwing around with my headphones. That's an ongoing problem. Even the "sport" ones that hook around your ears don't hold on well after a while. It's because the cord bounces around while I'm running. I need to attach it to my body somehow.
After the gym, I got Jamba Juice and then went to the mall because I needed shirts. They had nice tank tops for $10 each. I kept going back and looking at them, trying to decide what color to get and how many I could get away with buying. Cuz it was hard - they had a ton of different colors. I ended up getting one with yellow and white stripes and a blue one. I wanted jeans but they didn't have any that I liked. I have a pair that I really liked but it was stretchy and after not too many washings, it got stretched out and it's too big now. And non-stretchy jeans gradually shrink. Stupid jeans.
Then after the mall, I saw The Stepford Wives with Jackie and Steve. It was good. Then I went home and had a salad for dinner. I sort of wanted ice cream but I'd had a humongous lunch. Ah, I didn't mention lunch. I was going to eat something at the food court but then I saw there was Max's Opera Cafe. That's a Northern California thing. It's really good. I got a grilled cheese on sourdough and the cheese was brie. So I think I'd had enough fatty dairy products for one day.
