Dang. After what [livejournal.com profile] mahwlee said, now I have to see The Village, just to see how bad it is. There's an 11:20AM showing in town and I thought 'OK, if I run my gel and set up my enzyme digest really quick, I can go see the movie.' I have to let it digest for 3 hours at least, so I figured I'd just take an extra long lunch. But then it took me a little longer to set up the enzyme digest because I had to look up which buffer to use and by the time I was ready to go, it was 11:24. So I think I'll just take an extra long, late lunch and see it at 2:00PM.

But now I'm all antsy. Someone on a messsage board (which I found by googling "The Village spoilers") who hadn't seen it yet posted one possible ending and it would be really, really dumb if that were the real ending and I have to find out if it is.

Also, I hope this enzyme digest works. That is, I hope it doesn't digest because what we did to the DNA inserted in the plasmid (this is a continuation of the project with cloning I've been doing for the past 2 days) was supposed to have knocked out the restriction site. At least the PCRs worked. I was worried after the messing about with the purification that I might not have gotten DNA.

I still haven't started drawing my comic yet. Well, I'm free this weekend.

I watched Aladdin last night. Ahh, Jafar. How I love a man in eyeliner. It struck me that, before the HP movies came out, I pictured Snape looking a fair bit like him, but with a bigger nose (and with hair). I didn't specifically picture the beard until I saw the chapter illustration in PoA and from then on, he always had a beard in my head, until the movie came out, and now he generally doesn't.
