wooooah, Fable is awesome

gmonkey42My brother just got Fable for his XBox. Duuude, it's so awesome. It's an RPG but there's no team, it's just the one character and the battles are real-time, not turn-based. Like, they really are. Thanks to the presence of so many buttons that I still hit the wrong one sometimes (I have the same problem with Halo - it's those XBox controllers), you can draw different weapons and cast magic all while fighting.
The really awesome thing, though, is that your character changes depending on what actions you take. You can get all different clothes and hairstyles but the big thing is that he can be good or evil. If he's good, his hair gets lighter (because everyone knows blonds are good and brunets are evil) and he gets a halo and if he's evil he grows horns. And it's not just a few set places where you can do the good thing or the bad thing, it's all throughout the game. There's the main storyline but there are all these side-quests too and things that aren't even quests but things to do, like trying to find more hairstyles (you have to get a card with a style on it and take it to the barber to get the style). You can have the character buy houses and, if you kill the storekeepers (this makes you more evil), stores. People can fall in love with him and you can get them to marry him. Also, you can make him gay. So I had him marry a man. They live in a little cottage by the sea.
Oh, and you can make him fart. But, surprisingly, that doesn't make him very popular.
I made my guy good and semi-focused on magic use. And gay. My brother made his guy evil and had him marry about 4 different women in different towns and he killed one of them. He said it was because she was mouthing off. I really, really shouldn't find that funny. But it's like in GTA where you can run over the prostitute and get your money back.
I'm going to have to wait a whole week to come back and play it again :( I have to try the evil route.
