I can't understand how they can get away with this. This is not democracy.
I think the Democrats ought to counter this and the push-polling and flyers telling people the election is on the 3rd and everything with information campaigns in the areas the Republicans are targeting. They don't even have to accuse the Republicans of anything, just give people the facts about their rights. You know what? I'm going to the Kerry campaign website right now to e-mail them suggesting that.
Anyway, spread the word.
ETA: ...I went to the website and then I couldn't think of what to say. I want to help but I live in California - I can't fly out to Florida to put up leaflets. It seemed stupid to tell them they ought to do their own leaflet campaign when I've never signed up to volunteer. I'd intended to sign up. It's just, with work and everything... which is a beyond-feeble excuse. I think that's what's needed - people actually going door-to-door, handing out leaflets telling people when the election really is and warning them about these scare tactics so they know what to watch out for. It's no good posting stuff on the internet - the people the Republicans are going after are the people who don't have as much access to information. It's so wrong. And I don't know what to do about it.
