Snape's home now and my mum came up today to keep her company while I'm at work.
It was funny when I went to pick her up: there were two other cats in the cat room and the two other cats were just in their cages, being quiet, and there's Snape in her cage with two big red plastic tags clipped on it that said "BITE." The other cats didn't have bite warnings. And when she saw us, she got all hunched up in the corner and hissed. I came in to help put her in her carrier box because I thought they might have trouble. We ended up having to put the box on its end and I held the scruff of her neck with one hand and I carried her with the other hand and lowered her into the box while the vet held it up and got her feet in. I think I'll try doing it that way again because that way, she didn't realize what was going on, since she couldn't see the box. It was also better putting her in butt-first because she had one of those collar things so she couldn't pull out the surgical staples.
So when we got home, I put her in the spare bedroom and I slept in there with her. When I woke up, she was sitting there on the floor, looking all innocent, with her collar sitting a few feet away. I don't know how she got it off. It was all intact, with the gauze still tied and everything. I had to take it apart to get it back on.
