I was scrolling down my f-list and I saw "Lessons in Cartography" and I thought "huh?" and then I realized it was the next
shoebox_project update! Yay! Except I have a lot of work to do today! Curses! Plus we're taking that group picture today but I see no evidence of elf hats on the premises so I think we're safe.
My mum took the collar off Snape. I told her not to but she thought it was bugging Snape and the instructions the vets gave me said she only had to have it on when she was unsupervised. And she didn't lick the incision but that was only because my mum was watching and kept her hand over Snape's belly while she was having a wash. I stopped at the pet store on the way home to get some treats for her, since she wasn't eating much (the painkillers I'm supposed to give her cause a loss of appetite - there's one good thing: I can get medicine into her mouth without too much trouble) and I got a different collar, which had snaps to open and close it so I thought it'd be easier to put on. I managed to put it on Snape but she wasn't happy about it and then about a minute later, she just reached up with her paw and popped it off. So we had to put the other collar back on and I made it a little tighter than last time so I'm hoping she can't take it off. She still had it on this morning so that's a good sign.
The heat block for my extractions probably hasn't gotten hot enough yet... I'm going to read shoebox_project now.
