gmonkey42I guess posting that thing yesterday worked because nobody came and suffocated me. That's good.
I've been coming up with a plot for a choose-your-own adventure thing I want to do for Pirate Monkeys Inc.. The trouble is: I'm picturing it all as a cartoon and it's... a little ambitious considering I can't really do anything with Flash yet, except make shapes in different colors and make them move around. I'm thinking of a lot of sight-gags that wouldn't work well if I just did a text version.
Does anyone out there know about how one makes good Flash animation? Like shortcuts to use? I know about only re-drawing things that move, like keep the body and just re-draw the arm. But it still seems like a lot of drawing to do. Also, I've had trouble getting the sound to synch up with the animation. I have a book so maybe that's in there and I just haven't found it yet. It looks like it matches in Preview mode but then when I export it as a .swf, the sound is all off. Also, can anyone recommend good, cheap sound-editing software? There used to be a thing that came with Windows 98 and I could edit .wavs with it but now it's just Media Player and you can't do anything with that.
