gmonkey42I'm at work, waitin' for a gel to run out. And I was thinking, I haven't updated my journal in a few days. So. I have a whole bunch of new stuff for my website and I was waiting till I got my big Harry Potter thing done, but that's going to take weeks. So I think I'll put on the other new stuff first. I could work on it here, if I had the Admin password, so I could install software (I have no FTP program on this computer). Nobody minds but nobody else knows the password either. The problem is that the computer's on the network for the whole building and the network tech guy isn't being very helpful. He, it appears, is the only one who knows the password.
The enrollment in my C# class is down to about 10. The annoying guy (why is it that every class I take has an annoying guy?) hasn't dropped yet. But I expect he'll be the next to go. The teacher knows he's a dumb-ass. We're getting into some cooler stuff in this section (it's divided into 6 week sections and we just started section 2). Cool stuff to do with functions like overloading and recursion. I'm going to tutor another student on Friday. She's been buggin' me to tutor her so I decided I would.
I'm hungry. When the gel's done, I'm going to have lunch. Mmm, lunch. Maybe I'll go to Quizno's.
For the molecular biologists in the audience: I'm using agarose gels now. They're these huge slabs and you can run a hundred samples at once. And you can load it with the 12-way pipettor. That's pretty cool. If I just had a few samples to run, though, I'd still use polyacrylamide.
