Man, what a stupid movie. I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow and I especially didn't like her in this. The characters were all so lame. Gwyneth couldn't act in front of a blue screen if her life depended on it. Like if she were in danger of being stepped on by giant robots, for example. That looked so fake. And I do like Jude Law and Angelina Jolie but their characters were also totally unsympathetic. For action scenes to work, the audience has to care what happens to the characters. I didn't, apart from having a mild preference for the characters getting killed.

And oh, the cliches! Like the crap with Polly's camera: I thought "she'll take a picture of him. No she won't, that would be too obvious." And then she did. Gaah. And the assassin being a robot. Duuuuuuh. And the bit at the end with the space ship. If Dax and those scientist guys were so brilliant and they could figure out how to stop it from blowing up, couldn't they also have noticed the conveniently-placed escape pod?

I couldn't believe it when I saw Sir Laurence Olivier's name in the credits (yeah, I didn't recognize him). I thought "wait, isn't he dead?" So that was confusing. Haha, he could've been the dead body in the chair. Also, Michael Gambon is in it. What's up with that? I guess it looked like a good idea on paper but it ended up being very poorly executed. It looked nifty and everything but I didn't like the mixture of humans and CGI. They would've done better to make it 100% CGI. It wasn't believeable for a second that any of it was real.

And when was it meant to be taking place? The future? An alternate present? An alternate, super-advanced version of the 40s?

I'm so glad I didn't see it in the theater; I would've been pissed off if I'd spent eight bucks to see that.
