I'm at work again. I have to re-do a plate because the data I had from supposedly the same samples before don't match the data I just got so I'm doing it a third time as a tie-breaker.
The project (and deadline) doesn't seem as overwhelming as it did yesterday. There's a lot of waiting involved and today, I came prepared with books and my radio.
I'm going to get a quesadilla for lunch from Chevy's. I went to Pasta Pomodoro last night, not Macaroni Grill, and I had some crappy fettuccini alfredo that tasted like stroganoff with no mushrooms. Bah. The dumb thing is that there are zillions of great local restaurants in Berkeley but I don't know my way around yet and it's not convenient to get to them. J., T. and I went for lunch on Friday to Gordo's for burritos and that place was good. Nice, simple burritos and you can get whatever you want in them, none of this "I'll have a Baja Supreme but without the chicken and I want mild salsa" etc. And they have these steamer things to steam the cheese onto the tortilla. It sounds weird but it's good.
Poor J. thinks he might've broken his foot in class yesterday. I hope he hasn't. That'll suck if he has to delay his black belt testing again. His knee is hurt too but he was going to ignore that till after the test because he doesn't think it's serious.
...and I thought aikido would be less likely to injure people than tae kwon do. I've only broken toes in TKD, plus the whole screwing up my knees for most of my teen years thing.
