published!
Feb. 17th, 2005 08:48 amLast year, when I worked for UC Davis, my supervisor and the professor in charge of the lab wrote an article about regional differences in macaque monkey genetics that was going to be published in the American Journal of Primatology. The journal said we could submit an image for the cover if we wanted. So I volunteered and I made a map with some little boxes showing examples of the genetic differences between the monkeys from India and China. And there was an inset photo of a monkey. And the issue just came out and it's on the cover! And they have my name on the back with the image design credit! :D Also, I helped with the research that led to the paper but I was more like an assistant so my name doesn't go on the paper.
Also: have you ever had plain cranberry juice? Man, it's bitter. I'd need to put about two pounds of sugar in it.
