I've gotten some cool e-mails over the past few days

Both having to do with the Pirate Monkey Resource section. I think it's starting to take off. I'd better get cracking with the Flash animation... The first e-mail was from a guy who has a pirate site and he's written a pirate novel that's coming out in April. He liked my "How to Pillage" and he wants to feature it in a contest on his site. We'll be doing reciprocal links when it goes up, so check my links page later for that.

The other e-mail was from a teacher in South Africa. He(I think) liked my games and he wants to discuss with me ideas about teaching programming to kids.

The internet is so awesome, you meet so many people.

Is there a community that's like the opposite of customers_suck? Because last night:

I went to get pizza for dinner, because I still have, in total, one place setting and a frying pan in the kitchen of my new place so I haven't been able to do much cooking for the past few weeks. So I went to the pizza place...
pizza guy: Can I help you?
me: I'd like to place an order for take-out, please.
pizza guy: Is it for here or to go?

Then immediately after that, I went to Target to get a phone because the phone I have is crappy. I waited to pay at the counter of the electronics section because I thought that'd be quicker than waiting in line up front, even though it meant waiting for someone to turn up to ring up my purchase. Soon, an employee came by. She was talking on a walkie-talkie and I was standing at the counter, holding my box o' phone and two DVDs for my brother. She finished talking and said to me "do you need some help?" Uh, no, I'm just standing here at the counter basking in the fluorescent glow and listening to the ads for high quality DVDs starring Hillary Duff. But thanks.

Remember Bun-Bun, the stray rabbit we found? Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has agreed to take her as soon as they have room. My mum took her to the vet yesterday for a check-up and they said she's a girl bunny. The vet said she was probably a feral rabbit because she's so skittish around humans. But she's definitely a domesticated variety, not like a wild hare or something.

So I'm going to take time off if I can to go to Utah with my mum and brother to bring her over there when it's time. It could be a few months, we don't know. That'll be much better for her, being around other rabbits.
