Democrat? Weird. I'm a registered Green. But I supported Kerry 100%. I'm also surprised that Anarchy ranked above Communism. I thought it would be more like...

Erm... I don't have a lot to do today at work. There's one thing that doesn't really need to be done till tomorrow and another that also isn't urgent and I can't do it today anyway and apart from that, it's mostly covering the phone because the usual customer service person is out this week. In case anyone was wondering.

Bwahahaha! Unfortunately, I didn't get this e-mail myself but I was setting up a thing on my co-worker's new e-mail account (in addition to my main job doing science, I'm also the go-to computer person because it's a small company and we don't have a full-time computer person), and she got the following e-mail:

****
From: FBI@fbi.gov
To: [my co-worker's e-mail]
Date: Tue, 22 Feb 2005 06:10:39 GMT
Subject: Virus Found in message "You visit illegal websites"
X-Mailer: Stegano V7.47
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Dear Sir/Madam,

we have logged your IP-address on more than 40 illegal Websites.

Important: Please answer our questions!
The list of questions are attached.

Yours faithfully,
M. John Stellford

I love the "No Virus found" message above the icon you can click on to download the virus. Except the subject line "Virus Found in message 'You visit illegal websites'" sort of contradicts that.

"More than 40" eh? But how many is it, exactly? 41? 800? You'd think they could be more specific, what with having the resources to monitor all the online activity of hundreds of millions of people, you know? And "the list... are attached"? Waaaait a minute, you're not M. John Stellford! Nice try, Mr. President.

Gee, I'd better voluntarily answer the questions.

If it weren't a virus, I wonder what the questions would be.
1. Have you been to any illegal web sites (Y/N)?

2. If "Y" did those illegal web sites involve barnyard animals (Y/N)?

Please click the link below to schedule a time to drive yourself over to the jail.

There's a new comic on my Art page, written by [livejournal.com profile] luciusmalfoy and drawn by moi!

It's not worksafe but don't be disappointed that it's not smutty, because it's not, really. I just like to err on the side of caution. I don't want my web site to be illegal or anything.
