I had a good time at the class. Classes down here in the SF/Berkeley area are much cheaper than in Davis. I can take both aikido and belly dancing for less than I was paying for tae kwon do. So that's cool. I'm going to get a membership and start going every week. So that'll be yoga or cardio 'kickboxing' on Tuesdays, belly dancing on Thursdays and aikido on Saturdays. Also yoga on Sunday if I feel like it but unfortunately it's at 11:00am and I don't like having something smack in the middle of the day like that because it seems like there's no point trying to get much done before it and not enough time to go places after it.

I'm not too sore. I don't know if that means I was reasonably strong to begin with or I wasn't trying hard enough. I definitely need to build up my quadriceps more. And my glutes. My glutes are pathetic compared to the dancers'. Dang. My abs are farily strong but it takes a lot of concentration to isolate the lower and upper like that. I did OK. I'll try to go once a week.

Tomorrow at 7:00pm, I'm going with my dad to my cousin's goodbye party because she's going to Nepal for... I think it's 2 months to be a teacher. I won't get much done tomorrow because taking BART means aikido takes up the whole morning (it's in SF and I'm in Richmond) and then I'll have to eat and then go over to my parents' place.

Man, my cat's going to be mad at me. She attacked me last night and I think she was upset because I hadn't spent much time with her. I can tell when it's play-biting and when it's because she's mad at me.

GIP!

I made a new icon for the first time in a gazillion years. Here it is. I saw the photo and I knew I had to make this icon.

My mood is so much better when I manage to exercise. It makes a huge difference. It makes me want to write a book about curing depression with exercise. The only problem is that exercise, like real, strenuous exercise, isn't all that popular. People will walk on a stairmaster like zombies for hours but that's not going to cut it. I see so many people in the classes I go to slacking off. Like in yoga. I understand people having different ability levels and having to be careful if they have injuries (I have to modify some poses if my knees are bothering me) but if you're not tired by the end of class then you haven't had a good workout. And that's what it takes for exercise to improve the mood. You have to be sweaty and tired and be sore the next morning.

But about the sandwich: I got up earlier today so I could make lunch to take with me. Now, instead of a $4.00, 200 calorie (which is insufficient), forzen, microwavable meal, I have a lovely sandwich with swiss cheese, tofurkey, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, pickles, mustard and mayo on wheat bread. And lemonade, pistachio nuts and V8 juice. And there are cookies left over from this big management meeting they had yesterday. And the weather is lovely today.

I need to do another PCR but I'd have to go home to shower and change first because I've already been in post-PCR today and I can't be arsed. So here's a meme.

I was going to do one of those memes where you bold the things that apply to you like "I had a Rainbow Brite doll" but those are always about the 80s. I'd prefer one about the 90s so I can look back fondly on that festering hellpit that was junior high. And some stuff about high school. I'm not going to do this like a meme because I probably won't be able to think of enough things to list but here's...

ETA: whoops, I've fixed the LJ cut now.
