politicartoons made my blood boil but it's an old thread so commenting wouldn't get me very far. Therefore I'm posting here.
Someone said (paraphrasing): "teaching evolution in science classes is inappropriate because it teaches disbelief in religion."
You're absolutely right. And while we're at it, how dare those physics teachers talk about atoms and gravity, spitting in the face of people who believe Jesus holds matter together (scroll about 2/3 down)? How can we stand by while geography teachers insult people like this with their spherical globes?
Down with education! Teach the truth, that everything happens because God makes it happen!
Of course, that begs the question of why God let all these heathens become teachers in the first place...

Pfft, I just searched chick.com for "straw man." I got one match. So they do know what it is. I guess that proves they're doing it deliberately, then. Good to know.
