anglepoiselamp for links about Brokeback Mountain, including a .pdf of the original short story. God, with that as source material and Ang Lee directing, this is going to be one beautiful, heart-wrenching film.
You know what? If it were pretty much the same film but about a man and a woman's forbidden love, there's no way in hell I'd bother to watch it. Because there's no hetero analog for this story. It doesn't help that I can't trust the media to portray the woman in a hetero relationship in a way that doesn't make me want to vomit. [shakes fist at media] And they wonder why we like slash.
