gmonkey42Since you lot haven't been updating a whole lot today, I've been forced to sit here thinking about that stupid e-mail joke more.
Another thing that gets me is that people who never make any effort to accommodate other people vastly overestimate how difficult it is.
For example, being vegetarian, I make an effort to be aware of other people's dietary needs because I know what it's like when people don't. If I'm making food, I'll bring a gluten-free option and/or dairy-free option if someone there is allergic to gluten or lactose. If I'm bringing something with nuts, I'll bring a small quantity of the same thing but without nuts, unless I know for sure that nobody there is allergic to nuts. It hardly takes any extra effort to show people basic courtesy.
People who claim otherwise are generally just doing it to excuse themselves from making that relatively tiny bit of effort.
