Swashbucklathon
I've started inking the pencily bits that I've finished. I just need to sketch then ink one pair of pants and a hand (in sort of a tricky position, I'm going to have to take a photo of myself for reference) and then I'll be ready to scan and color. Oh, except I have to draw the ship's wheel. That's going to be a little hard. I always have trouble with architectural elements like that. Unlike with people, I can picture them fine but it's hard to draw them.
The next one will take a lot less time, I think. The third will take a while so I'm glad we've got the deadline extension. I probably would have ended up asking for one anyway on that piece, because it would really help to see PotC 2 for references and that doesn't come out till December 5.
The other thing
I don't like calling them "memes." A meme is an idea, concept, etc. that proliferates like a gene, not just a quiz that people post on their journals because they see them in other people's journals. I think the word is overused. I don't know what else to call the journal-posty things, though. Anyway, here it is:
Thismeme something is brought to you by Everygoddamnedbody (as seen on

1. Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fanart/etc. in general. Any fandom of mine.
2. Just one question, please, but it can have sub-parts.
3. That's it. It can be as normal or odd as you like.
My fandoms for today are: Harry Potter (obviously), Queer as Folk, Firefly/Serenity, X-Files, Wheel of Time and Sandman. No, I don't use the Oxford comma. I don't like it. I think it's redundant. OK, ask away.
