I got back to my parents' place at about 7:00PM and left at about 9:00PM (I had to go via their house because they were Snapeysitting*), arriving home at about 10:30PM. I had to be at the pool this morning at 8:00 for the first day of my research diving class. It's hard but fun. I couldn't do one of the exercises though so I'll have to do a do-over tomorrow. A lot of people have to have do-overs so it's OK.**
So no con report until tonight. I have a bunch of great pictures to put up. The short version is: you are all awesome beyond words. I had an even better time than I had at Lumos and I'm already looking forward to Terminus. Cosplaying rules; it's great how it gets people to come up and talk to me, because I tend to be a little shy and I met way more people this time. I've already started with the additions to my f-list but I left my notebook at home (posting this from the computer in the lab during my lunch break) so I'll be adding a lot more people tonight.
* For my new friends who are wondering: Snape is my cat. Yes I am that much of a dork.
** The exercise, for those who want more details, was to swim to the bottom (12 feet) wearing just the mask, snorkel, fins and weight belt (and a swimsuit - no naked diving for us), take off the fins at the bottom, swim to the surface, then swim back down and put the fins back on at the bottom and come back up. I couldn't stay down long enough - I'd be floating to the surface while I was still trying to clip the fins on. I'll add more weight to the belt tomorrow. I actually got it the last time except the buckle wasn't quite fastened and it came loose right before I surfaced. Dangit. I did well on all the swimming tests, though, including the 25 meter underwater swim on a single breath. That was hard but I did it on the first try :D
