Unseen Academicals!

The next Discworld book! It's here! I went to Borders Friday to indulge myself in a new copy of one of my witches books since I lost them in the move (I got the Tiffany Aching books after I moved so I still have those, luckily) BUT instead I saw right on the front table Unseen Academicals! I loved it.
I loved the inclusion of THREE gay characters. I loved Glenda - the dynamic between her and Juliet was pretty similar to the dynamic between Agnes and... whatshername in Masquerade, but they ended up being their own, fleshed-out characters. I knew Nutt was an orc! I was like "what, they call orcs 'goblins' in Discworld? OK then." But then it turned out "goblin" was just a cover story. Nutt is awesome. I hope we see more of him later.
I liked all the little shout-outs to previous books. And Rincewind is back! We get a little taste of him but the whole story isn't about him, which is good because Rincewind-running-away-from-things was fun but it's played out now. I don't know whether the next one out will be Raising Taxes or I Shall Wear Midnight (I Will Wear Midnight? I'm pretty sure the line in Wintersmith is "shall." Anyway. If it's Raising Taxes first, I hope we hear a lot more about the Undertaking!
