I went to my cousin's wedding yesterday and had a great time. I'd never been to a wedding before. I thought the ceremony would be boring but it was nice. It was in this hotel in Berkeley that must have been converted from... I don't know, a monastery maybe. It was all gothic and had little courtyards with gardens and stuff. Instead of a guest book, they had a painting of a simple tree and everyone had to paint something on it. I, of course, painted a monkey. And the groom danced with my cousin's grandma and I danced with my dad. The whole thing was just 'aww.'
I couldn't persuade my brother to dance, though. He was sitting next to my grandpa's brother (George) and they had a good time talking to each other, pretty much the whole time. At one point, when I was bugging my brother to dance, he said "no, dance with Uncle George" and Uncle George said "no, dance with him" and then he said to my brother that they could both back each other up so neither of them had to dance. D'oh! But it was fun. Uncle George did actually dance with Aunt Joan a little, though they snuck back to the table before the song was over. That one was when they told all the married couples to come up and dance, and they'd keep saying "anyone married less than (x) years, please leave the dance floor" till only one couple was left and they got a bouquet. The winners were my aunt(the bride's mum)'s aunt and her husband, who'd been married 44 years. George and Joan would've won if they'd stuck around. Ah well. So my mum had to dance for that one. She's almost as reluctant as my brother. My dad and I are more into dancing. We danced to "Louie Louie," I think it was. Good times.
And my brother didn't want his champagne so I drank mine and some of his. And on the way home, Mum and I were singing. And Dad and my brother didn't like that too much. We were mainly doing it to bug them. Because they make fun of us because we can't sing. And then we couldn't think of anything else to sing and we weren't home yet so Mum said to do my Cartman impression. And I couldn't think of a good quote so someone - I can't remember if it was my mum or my brother - said "sing Kyle's mom's a bitch." So I did but I kept laughing. And my brother said "no more drinkin for you." Ha ha.
