Bored. There are several things I could be doing right now:
- mowing the lawn around the edges with my new weed whacker, because I couldn't get those parts with the lawn mower
- putting primer on that last bit of the wall where the old paint peeled off
- attending the cardio kickboxing class
- driving to my parents' place, because I have to be in the Bay Area this evening for my cousin's bachelorette party
- eating something for breakfast other than chocolate malt balls
- reading the rest of the manual for LiveMotion so I can put kickass Flash animation on my site
- pretty much anything besides sitting here in front of the computer, not really doing anything

I'm discouraged because, as usual, I didn't get as much done as I was hoping. Early in the week, I wore myself out doing things with my new place and then I couldn't keep up that pace. And it's depressing and I've been eating ice cream and chocolate and very little real food. I've been really tired and I know it's because I haven't been eating well. It's like it's too much effort to get up and cook something. Wah.

coffee

Uh, check two things off the list: going to my parents' place and eating something. And Mum and I went to Starbucks. Mum never gets stuff there because one time, she tried getting something except she doesn't know what the stuff is and she expected something with all whipped cream and chocolate sauce but she'd ordered an iced latte and she didn't like it. So today I was getting a caramel frappuccino and she saw some girls with starberry creme frappuccinos and she said those looked good. So I said why not get one? And she said 'no, they have coffee' and I said the creme ones don't have coffee. So we looked at the menu and she got a vanilla creme and she really liked it. So that's cool. I always felt a little bad before when I was out with my mum and wanted a coffee, because I think she felt like Starbucks was all Gen-X and she was out of touch or something. But now she knows they have drinks that are basically milkshakes. I made my own mocha frappuccino the other day and it was good. And that was with nonfat milk and dairy-free chocolate sauce. </ crap about coffee>

Also, I was bugging my brother to register to vote this year but he won't. I was telling Mum about it in the car and she pointed out that maybe it's a good thing because he would've voted for Schwarzenegger, because he's a movie star. I don't get it. I said to him "Bush wants to draft YOU and send you to Iraq to get killed," and my brother just shrugs and says he'll move to Canada. And I tell him how Bush wants a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage and he wants abortion to be illegal, and it's all met with indifference. From my brother and from probably most people our age. Why?

Oh dear

Like I said, I'm at my parents' place at the moment and, unfortunately, the computer is in full view of the living room. And I was just looking at [livejournal.com profile] andropotterist. And my mum just walked by, on the way to clean the fish tank:
mum: (incredulously) What's that?
me: ...what?
mum: That picture.
me: ...it's Harry Potter in a little tank top. It's, like, a joke. Sort of. *clicks back to my own journal in a hurry*
mum: I'll just go clean the fish tank.

...I didn't mention that I was looking to see if more people had commented on my drawing of Voldemort, Slytherin and Snape in drag...
